Elizabeth Hivner, M.Ed., CHES, founder of Hivner Consulting

Elizabeth Hivner, M.Ed., CHES, is the founder and Lead Principal Consultant of Hivner Consulting. She is a public health professional with more than a decade of experience leading programs, research, and evaluation that advance health equity for low-resourced communities.

At Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, she directed a $53M+ community health portfolio. She expanded the Food Farmacy program to two new sites and 20 new referral locations, then led a full program evaluation and strategic plan that shaped the program's next-phase proposal. In that evaluation, every pantry partner rated the partnership 5 out of 5. She secured grant funding to study the impact of the Lead Free Families initiative on childhood lead exposure and brought the program's model to statewide and national audiences. As a research project manager, she streamlined start-up for investigator-initiated studies and cut onboarding time by about half.

At Penn State College of Medicine, she led more than 10 grant-funded programs and studies, served as qualitative lead on a PCORI-funded study of adolescent depression, and led a STEM program that reached more than 2,000 students. She also directed the launch of an employee wellness website that reached more than 17,000 health system employees. She has co-authored over six peer-reviewed publications.

About Elizabeth Hivner

Why Hivner Consulting

After more than a decade inside health systems and universities, Elizabeth saw the same pattern again and again: committed teams with strong ideas and too little time to bring structure, measure what's working, and keep the work moving. She started Hivner Consulting to be the partner those teams needed, one who works alongside them, owns the details, and helps them show the impact of their work

“As a colleague, Elizabeth is collaborative, supportive, forward-thinking, and an exceptional problem solver. She brings positivity and motivation to her work while consistently demonstrating the expertise and credibility of a true subject matter expert.”
— Lindsay Pringle, M.Ed, Manager of Community Health and Wellness, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health
